The Commission’s Industrial Registrar has a number of obligations in relation to registered Organisations. Following a consultation period, the Commission has published a policy concerning applications for exemptions from reporting obligations.
The policy provides guidance on the circumstances in which an exemption may be sought, the criteria the Registrar will consider when determining an application, and the information required to support an application. It is intended to promote transparency, consistency, and procedural fairness in the assessment of exemption applications by registered Organisations.
The policy is effective from the date of publication. Registered Organisations are strongly encouraged to review the policy prior to lodging an application for exemption.
