The Industrial Relations Commission of New South Wales is pleased to announce the publication of the Policy - Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act Permits and Right of Entry (ROE) Permits. The policy outlines the expectations and procedures for applying for WHS Entry Permits under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and ROE Permits under the Industrial Relations Act 1996. It also provides detailed guidance for unions and industrial organisations on eligibility, application requirements, assessment criteria, and the responsibilities of permit holders.
The policy will come into effect on 1 September 2025.
