Some decisions made under Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws may be subject to external review.
An external review of relevant decision made under the WHS Act is conducted by the Industrial Relations Commission, on application by an eligible person.
The application for review must be made within the legislated time limits.
There are several outcomes of an external review. The IRC may confirm, vary or revoke the original decision.
Applications for external review are dealt with under s229 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (the Act).
